Transbay Fire Protection specializes in large and complex commercial projects

Our team has designed and installed fire protection systems for some of the largest prestigious projects not just in California, but in the world.

With offices in the San Francisco Bay Area and Central Valley, we can provide fire protection contracting services for the state of California and Washington.

Company History

Transbay Fire Protection was founded in 1989. In 1991, Transbay transitioned from a sole proprietorship to a California, C-Corporation and, in 2007, to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

In-house Design and Engineering

We pride ourselves on our highly educated staff of licensed professional engineers. Our licenses include C-16 Fire Protection, Professional Engineer (Mechanical and Fire Protection) and Certified Fire Protection Specialist – CFPS.

This combination of licenses allows us to provide one source for a complete fire protection project. Our licensed engineers make it possible for us to provide high-quality design, as we continue to build our accomplishments in timeliness, attention to detail, and professionalism.

PROUD UNION CONTRACTOR

Transbay Fire Protection is a proud union contractor. We belong to four United Association unions from Seattle to LA: 483, 669, 699, and 709. As a union contractor, we can offer the highest quality and most flexible labor.

Our current safety rating is 0.82 EMR.

National Fire Sprinkler Association: The National Fire Sprinkler Association has advocated protecting lives and property through the widespread acceptance of the fire sprinkler concept.

California State Fire Marshal: The California State Fire Marshal provides support through a wide variety of fire safety responsibilities.

Washington State Fire Marshal: The Washing State Fire Marshal provides support through a wide variety of fire safety responsibilities.

Cal/OSHA: The Division of Occupational Safety and Health protects and improves the health and safety of working men and women in California.

Underwriters Laboratory: Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is an independent product safety certification organization that has been testing products and writing Standards for Safety for over a century.
