EFFICIENT, PROACTIVE PROBLEM SOLVING

Transbay Fire Protection implements LEAN principles in all of our projects.

LEAN principles are applied to the design and installation processes by effectively communicating deliverable timelines and adhering to project schedules. Through LEAN Principles, we take active steps to increase productivity and reduce waste for every project.

Transbay incorporates these principles throughout the design/build process. Through BIM Modeling, we identify constructability issues or concerns early on to ensure their timely resolution. By coordinating among different systems, we are able to promote a problem-free installation process. We fabricate material only for scheduled installation areas, and we initiate pre-task planning to eliminate downtime and to complete inventory review. We actively track our progress toward completing the goals of the project.

To contribute to the successful installation and completion of a design/build project, Transbay adheres to the methods and practices outlined in its extensive Quality Control Program. Our QC representative reviews and complies with approved product data, project specifications, construction drawings, and other related project documents to ensure that quality is maintained throughout the process.

These LEAN principles have become standard practice for Transbay Fire Protection; we implement these principles so that so we can deliver a better end product to the general contractor and to the client.
